Lincoln Prairie was the first school in District 54 to have a Parent Teacher Student Association. Lincoln Prairie knows the advantages to having our children be active participants not only in their education, but also in their community. We're committed to having students as active members. Lincoln Prairie students grow up surrounded by proof of how service to the community makes a difference in their lives and the lives of others. Children who are active in their communities grow up to be adults who are active in their communities.
Everyone at Lincoln Prairie has a unique mix of talents, time, or treasures and the PTSA gives everyone the opportunity to share them. There is a real sense of community here, which comes from everyone’s participation. From the smallest kindergarteners to the 8th graders preparing to graduate, from the staff to the parents and grandparents, there are opportunities for everyone to be involved in making Lincoln Prairie a great place to be. Lincoln Prairie knows what more 30 years' worth of research has proven, that children do better when their parents are involved both at home and at school. Grades and test scores climb. Self-esteem grows. Schools improve.
Our PTSA is very active in making our school a wonderful place to learn and grow. The list of activities at the left are among the many ways that the PTSA aids our children’s education. PTSA activities are open to all, but we hope that you will become a member, work along side us, and share the fun!
