Objective: Summarize key facts about a historic resident by creating a biography box.
Activities:
  1. Form cooperative groups and assign one historic person to each group.
  2. Direct groups to read information from the biographical sketches on the website.
  3. Encourage groups to gather additional information from other sources: interviews or newspaper articles.
  4. Introduce and distribute the Biography Box Rubric.
  5. Direct each student to create a Biography Box.
