Outcome: Family Tree Poster (Visual)
Objective: Organize the personal history of a historic resident and create a family tree poster.
Activities:
  1. Form cooperative groups and assign one historic person to each group.
  2. Direct groups to read biographical sketches from website.
  3. Encourage groups to gather additional information from other sources:
        -interviews
        -newspaper articles
  4. Introduce and distribute the Biography Box Rubric.
  5. Direct each student to create a Biography Box.
  6. Direct students to write in their Schaumburg Township Double Entry Journal.

*Groups may choose a different resident. Information is available at the Schaumburg Township District Library in the Schaumburg Historical Society's Vertical File.
