Lesson 19: The Great Chicago Fire: The O’Leary Hearing


One Day approximately 45 minutes                


Learning Standard: State Goal 16D: Understand Illinois, United States and world social history.

Objective: Recreate the O’Leary Hearing by creating a dramatization.
Outcome:
Dramatization (Kinesthetic)

Activities:

Distribute the script of the O’Leary hearing 
Read together as a class
   

 

(Note: Some students may create the dialogue for a hearing accusing someone else of setting the Great Chicago Fire and present their dramatization.)
