contrast the perceptions of history by different groups by creating a dual timeline.
Outcome: Dual Timeline (Visual)
| Direct students in cooperative groups to read "The Struggle for Control" from A Historical Album of Illinois pp. 14 - 17 in three sections. Debrief each section and fill out the blanks in the timeline with descriptions of the bold faced words. | |
| Read the following excerpts to illustrate multiple perspectives of the time period: | |
| After each quote use the Dialectical Response worksheet to have students respond to each quote, briefly discuss responses then attach to page 15 of double entry journal | |
| Reverse the KWHL chart (3 x 7 )in order to visualize the approximate size of the Greenville Treaty of Peace. |
